Kalaignar Karunanidhi stated in his message that the Tamil society was proud that Dr. Ramakrishnan, who was born in Chidambaram, was the third Tamil to get the Nobel Prize after C.V. Raman (1930) and Chandrasekhar (1983). Karunanidhi knows they are all belonging to Brahmin community. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting at the Secretariat presided over by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. It was decided to set up several committees to look after preparations for the conference and also send out invitations to Tamil scholars the world over.
We request Kalaignar Karunanidhi to include Brahmin Scholars also in the conference without any caste hatred.
