Saivite Saint Murthi Nayanar was doing worship to [Lord Somasundarar] Lord Siva with sandalwood paste, smearing it all over the Lingam is regarded as a great form of his worship. He was a great devotee of Lord Siva. Daily he used to offer sandalwood paste to the Lord. He was born in Madura in Pandya kingdom.
At that time, the city was invaded by a Karnataka king. In the battle the Pandya king was defeated. The Karnataka ruler became the Pandya king. He was a follower of Jainism. He wanted to exterminate Saivism and to spread his religion. He began to persecute Saivas. ‘Murthi Nayanar also had to bear a lot of sufferings.
The king, with a view to convert Murthi Nayanar forcibly to Jainism, made it impossible for anyone in Madura to obtain sandalwood. This greatly upset the Nayanar. He prayed to the Lord for a Saivite king to rule Madurai Kingdom. He searched throughout the day for a little sandalwood to offer his worship. He could not get any. With a broken heart, he went to the temple: and he had a wonderful idea. He began to rub his own elbow (in the place of sandalwood!). The hand was bleeding profusely.
Lord Siva was highly pleased with his devotion. A heavenly voice said: ‘Oh noble soul, I am immensely pleased with your devotion. Kindly stop rubbing your elbow. All your grievances will be redressed. Kindly take up the reins of the kingdom. After ruling the country justly and wisely for a long time, you will come to My Abode.’ Nayanar was amazed to hear this and to see that his elbow regained its original shape. Murthi Nayanar did not aspire for kingship, but it was the Lord’s will. That night the cruel king died. The next day, the Ministers sent the palace elephant to choose their king, in accordance with an ancient custom.
The elephant proceeded towards the temple. Murthi Nayanar had come there for his worship. The elephant bowed to him and put on garland on his neck and placed him on his back and returned to the palace. Murthy Nayanar became the king. He will have the sacred ashes from his head to body. His jewel will be only Rudraksham.
He told that he will strive to let the love of Lord Siva be enthroned in the hearts of all. Nayanar ruled the country justly and wisely for a long time and eventually attained Siva’s Abode.
Nakkeerar to get penance from Lord Siva has sung a song praising him.
நக்கீரர் தான் பாடிய பாடல்களில் உள்ள பிழைகளைத் திருத்திக் கொண்டதோடு , தான் சிவனுக்கு செய்த அபசாரத்தை நினைத்து வருந்தி ஒரு பதிகத்தை பாடினார்.
Nakkeerar, a Tamil poet in 3rd century BC, during the Tamil sangam period. Nakkeerar composed more than hundred stanzas. I am now telling you about the “Thivya Prabhandam” which was sung by him praising Lord Siva at Madurai. This poetry is one among the forty stanzas in eleventh Thirumurai. The Tiruvilaiyadal Puranam relates an incident involving Nakkeerar's confrontation with Lord Shiva. Once the Pandiyan king had a doubt as to whether the scent from a woman's hair was natural or artificial. He announced a price of 1000 gold coins for anyone who clears his doubt.
A poor poet named Tharumi prayed to Lord Shiva to make him get the award. The Lord gave a poem to the poet and asked him to take it to the King. When this poem was read in the court, Poet Nakkeerar found fault with it and stopped the pandiyan king from giving the prize. Tharumi's grief grew and he again appealed to the Lord.
He said he was not worried for not receiving the prize but he could not bear anyone finding fault with the Lord's poems.Thereupon, Lord Shiva himself came to the court and challenged Nakkeerar. Suddenly the Lord opened the eye in his forehead (Netrikkan) which emitted fire and looked at Nakkeerar to show the poet who he was. Even then, Nakkeerar persisted in his statement.
As he could not bear the scorching heat, emanating from the divine eye he jumped into the water of the Golden Lotus Tank. Then at the request of the other poets, the Lord took Nakkeerar out of the tank, forgave him and made him to study under 'Agasthiar', the Tamil Sage.
This poetry is one among the forty stanzas in eleventh Thirumurai. Nakkeerar for getting penance from Lord Siva in arguing with him sang this song praising him.OM Namasivaayaaa..! OM Namasivaayaaa…!!

Kerala court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for raping his minor daughter and pushing her into flesh trade, a Tamil Nadu police officer, who is among the 148 accused of sexually exploiting the girl, has been on the run for the last one year. K S Sakthivel, a special branch inspector in Kanyakumari, has been declared a “deserter”. “We are yet to arrest him. We had sent special teams to Tamil Nadu to nab him,” said a Kerala police officer associated with the investigation into the case that has come to be known as Paravur sex scandal. “His family lives in Oddanchathram.
We received information last year that he had visited his family, but before our team could go there, he fled,’’ said the official. The girl’s father, T Sudheer (39), a small-time Malayalam film actor, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in Ernakulam on Thursday. The court also ordered him to pay a fine of Rs 50,000. Delivering the judgment, session’s court judge P G Ajithkumar observed, “There can never be a graver heinous crime than the father being charged of raping his daughter. It is betrayal of trust.
The father is a fortress and refuge for his daughter.” The judgment was the first in the case in which the police have already filed 20 charge sheets. Of the 148 accused, 102 persons have been arrested, four have died and the remaining is absconding. The accused include film personalities, businessmen and government officials. In all 11 persons, including a PWD contractor from Chennai, have been arrested from Tamil Nadu.
The scandal came to light in April last year when the girl’s mother lodged a complaint against her husband saying he the girl into prostitution. The girl revealed that she was sexually abused by more than 100 men, including her father, at Paravur, near Kochi, for two years. In TN, she was reportedly taken to places like Kanyakumari, Palani and Coimbatore by her father and was forced into prostitution. Sakthivel, posted in Kanyakumari then, also allegedly raped her. After allegations cropped up, he was transferred to Srivaikuntam station in Tirunelveli district, but he failed to report for duty. As his whereabouts were not known, Tamil Nadu police declared him as a “deserter.’’
It is an unpardonable act of a father who behaved like a beast and raped his own young daughter and letting her daughter to prostitution. Even god will not pardon him for his sinful activity like a beast.

A wealthy Nigerian businessman was raped to death by five of his wives because they were jealous he was paying too much attention to the sixth one. Uroko Onoja from Ogbadibo was having sex with his youngest wife when the remaining five reportedly set upon him with knives and sticks and demanded him to satisfy each of them too.

Tamil Nadu News Magazine in its issue dated 29-7-12 has explained about the Nithyananda case in U.S.Court. In a petition filed by Popatlal Salva at the California Court in USA, the court has given a judgment against Nithyananda Foundation and has termed it a fraud foundation.
In its judgment dated 19th july U.S.Court says Nithyananda Foundation must return the amount of 8.5 crores which was received from Popatlal Salva. Moreover Nithyananda foundation should return the expense amount which Salva incurred in this case that will also amount to several crores.
Some of the devotees of Nithi told that Nithi is not having favourable time now. There are also several cases pending against him with Karnataka CID police and others. So at present Nithyananda is thinking of going to Kailash Mountain on July 27th and from their he may go to Nepal to stay their permanently to avoid in getting complications in India. In the name of Jeevan Mukthi Nithyananda has spoiled the carriers of several educated girls in India.
