Puratchith Thalaivar MGR was considered to be the care taker of poor and working class people. Even while acting in pictures he was having self confidence. While acting in a drama his leg was broken and he managed and come back to act in Drama. Like that during 1967 he was shot and the bullet gets stuck in his throat and was later removed. His enemies were telling that he cannot act in pictures as he cannot able to speak well. He overcome this time also and acted in many movies with success and then become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

By seeing the life of MGR, we must all take his self confidence and work tirelessly for the welfare of all poor people.

Recently I have went to Chennai,Meenambakkam Air Port for a farewell send off to my relatives boy, who is going to U.S. for higher studies.

But I have wondered, whether I have entered to Chennai Central Railway Station or Central Bus Stand or to an Exhibition show. The people coming to Air Port in thousands are pushing and eagerly going forward to see their relatives. If Air Port authorities make arrangement to visitors in a more smooth and comfortable way to see their relatives send off it will reduce the strain of visitors.

The boy replied yes. The devotee asked him, how it tastes will be? He told it will be sweet. The devotee again asked him, have you seen the taste with your eyes? No... I can only feel the taste. Devotee told God is like that only if you pray him to get rid of your difficulties in life, he will definitely give relief to you.

By fetching flowers to Lord Siva’s worship Muruga Nayanar did his daily duty.

சிவபெருமானின் விரிசடையில் சூட்டுவதற்கு மலர்களை பறித்து வருவதையே தன் தொண்டாக முருக நாயனார் செய்து வந்தார்.

Muruga Nayanar excelled in his worship of Lord Siva. He was born in Tirupukalur, made famous by many other Nayanars also. Daily he would wake up well before sunrise, take bath, wear the sacred ash on his forehead, do his Nitya Karmas, and go to the garden with a basket. Repeating the Panchakshara he would collect flowers, and as mentioned in the Siva Agamas, make colorful garlands and offer to the Lord. One day the great Jnana Sambandar came to his place.

Muruga Nayanar invited him and worshipped him and won his favour. Sambandar took him as his dearest friend. Muruga Nayanar got the great good fortune of attending Sambandar’s wedding when he, the bride and all others (induding Muruga Nayanar) got merged in the Divine Effulgence of the Lord.

Muruga Nayanar’s devotion won for him Sambandar’s friendship, and, through that God-realization he attained the lotus feet of Lord Siva. ஓம் நமசிவாயா..! ஓம் நமசிவாயா...!!

ஜெயலலிதா சேலையை இழுத்த இழிவான செயலை திமுக மார்ச் 25, 1989 அன்று சட்டமன்றத்தில் செய்தது.

The famous Jayalalitha saree episode took place in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on March 25, 1989. She was then the leader of the Opposition. Jayalalithaa got furious when a minister allegedly pulled her sari on the floor of the House. I have written an essay about this incident in my Tamil Magazine “Engal Baratham” March 2003 issue.We want to bring it to the remembrance of all the readers that how Jayalalitha was targeted for nothing during 1989.


During the budget session of the assembly in 1989 as an opposition leader, Jayalalitha said Karunanidhi had no moral right to be CM. All hell broke loose and she was manhandled, with some DMK members allegedly trying to pull at her Sari. Jayalalithaa told former Minister Durai Murugan and his colleague Veerapandi Arumugam jumped on the table and did this vile act.


There are photographs of her with disheveled hair and tears in her eyes. That day, she must have sworn revenge, like Draupadi, resolving that she would re-enter the assembly only as chief minister. This incident is the root cause of her hatred for Karunanidhi. After she had faced humiliation in the assembly, during the next election in 1991, she told people that Karunanidhi was a Duryodhana and there was a Dutchaathanaa among the legislators who had tried to disrobe her.


The electorate responded by giving her thumping majority to Jayalalithaa. The same Victory repeated to Jayalalithaa even in 2011 elections by explaining to the people the corruption regime of Karunanithi and his family and ministers like famous Raja. So at least in future Karunanidhis to remember the proverb “evil begets evil.”
